We are especially passionate about raising a bold generation through our vibrant Youth Ministry, while also equipping women through Women of Worth, building strong men through Men of Valour, nurturing young hearts in our Children’s Ministry, and strengthening families through our Couples Ministry.

meet our pastors
Prof Mbulungeni Madiba and Elder L. M. Madiba serve as the Lead Pastors of Rivers of Life Ministries UAFC. Together, they provide spiritual oversight, leadership, and pastoral care to the congregation, while also serving the broader Cape Town District community. Pastor Madiba is a revivalist and pioneer. Prior to launching Rivers of Life Ministries, Prof Madiba served as a pastor at the UAFC Mamelodi Assembly, where he revived the church and strengthened its financial sustainability. He was also a founding member of the Venda University Student Christian Movement and has contributed to the revival and strengthening of many churches.

Elder Madiba plays a vital role in the ministry by supporting pastoral leadership, mentoring women and families, and actively serving in various church initiatives.
​
Prof Madiba also serves as a Board Member of UAFC Bethel Theological College, where he contributes to theological training and leadership development.
​
In addition, Prof Madiba is a Professor and Dean of Education at Stellenbosch University. He previously served as Director of the Multilingualism Education Project at the University of Cape Town, Acting Dean and Deputy Dean in the Centre for Higher Education Development, and as a Member of the University of Cape Town Council. He has received several international awards and distinctions, including being named an Oppenheimer Fellow at SOAS, University of London, and a Mandela Fellow at Harvard University.

Prof and Elder Madiba are deeply passionate about developing leaders and strengthening the Body of Christ. They are blessed with three children —two sons and one daughter and a daughter-in-law.
